The People’s Picturehouse is excited to bring you a new series of talks, information sessions and workshops which will aim to ensure that emerging filmmakers in Cork have guidance on how to take their filmmaking to the next level. The first session, Taking Flight - Take One: Irish Short Film Funding, will cover the basics of applying for film funding for short films in Ireland, both live-action and animation. The free two-hour session will include detailed overviews of the many upcoming and currently open schemes from The National Talent Academy, Screen Ireland, Árdán/RTÉ, TG4, Virgin, as well as regional film funds such as Engine Shorts.
The free two-hour session, delivered by Picturehouse members, will cover writing good loglines, budget examples and best practices for submissions.
